I suppose every year this weekend, I come down to SoCal. But it's sort of weird and I suppose somewhat interesting how times change. It's not that it's a bad thing or it's a good thing. Just times change.
On the boring front of my life, school has started. Or let me repharse that, classes and instruction has begun. I suppose school or class hasn't exactly begun for me. I have been eating out a lot. A whole lot of sushi - Sushi Totoro with Bob's kids, I <3 Sushi with KAMP family, Kianti & Cafe Brasil with the housemates, Falafel and Thai with Robbie, Mission Taqueiria with GeOff. Yeah all in like the first two weeks and now I am in LA! WHATTHEFACK. Oh and if you didn't know I'm currently employed. I no longer work at Paper-Source. I am hoping to working somewhere in Santa Cruz.
Oh! So the reason why this blog goes out to the City of Los Angeles is the goddamn city has taken away a good chunk of my money. With feeding the meters on the street and paying for parking at malls. Oh and the worst part is paying for parking at UCLA. At the end of this trip I will have spent 32 dollars on parking. This includes having to wake up at 630 in the morning to add more money. Grrrr

Here's to Sacramento
I've never been to Sacramento before. Well there was that time I went to West? Sacramento for that Verizon Wireless Jonas Brother Concert - oh good gracious. And that time when I went to visit Davis but ended up going to this concert forty minutes away from Davis to watch Push Push Pull, Hazel and Vine and some other band. It's starting to feel like I only go to Sacramento for concerts.
I mean I pass by Sacramento sometimes when going to Tahoe or something but that's about it. I have never been to the Capital Building till now or I guess two days ago.
BTDUBS, I hate Downtown Plaza in Sacramento.
On Tuesday, Adriana and I drove to Davis to visit to Chris. Did you guys know that after driving for sometime, or maybe just on I-80, that carpool is no longer two or more, but THREE or more. WHATTTTAFACK! But we just continued to drive because there was so much traffic and if I were to get pulled over I was planning on saying, "we didn't know." I doubt that would have worked but ya know. By the time we got there, we were all starving so we went to Fuji Sushi Buffet. F.A. Central. I wish I had a second belly.
So the day before I had put something on hold at the Forever 21 at the Downtown Plaza in Sacramento because I knew I was going to Davis and the Forever 21s in the Bay Area didn't have it. So when we are all done at sushi buffet, it's about 8:25pm. Now, the mall closes at 9:00pm, but Downtown Plaza was about 25minutes away from where we were.
Now, if you have never been Downtown Plaza, there is a reason. It is the most awkward shopping center/parking design ever. By the time we got there it was practically 9:00pm, most if not all the stores were closed. They had this directory but it didn't say where "YOU ARE HERE." So that was problem 1. Once we figured out where we were, we thought, "It's at the other end of the mall." We ran to the other end of the mall, and then we don't see it. Keep in mind - it's 9:00pm. We ask one of the stores that is still open, and they say that it's at the other end of the mall. OH SHITFACE. Also keep in mind, that we just came from sushi buffet - some of us need to use the bathroom, some of us are bloated, some of us wanted to yak, and some of us were not in shape. (I am ALL OF THE ABOVE). We get to the other end of the mall and go out doors... It's the MOFO street. We go back to where we orginally were and ask, and they said to make a right (Oh!) but that Forever 21 is closed. SHITERFACE. Chris and Adriana are like well we're here anyways, we might as well check. We get to Forever 21 and it's semi-open/semi-closed. I try and open the door it's locked but I see Adriana and Chris inside and I'm like WHA? (D'oh Moment). I get what I wanted!
**That was probably the worst ending in a story.
***Sorry you had to read that but nobody asked you to. SUCKAAA!
On to the Capital... seeing as how I have never been we decided to go or at least the outside. And ended up camerawhoring it. See pictures.
Oh herrrrro Aaaaaanold.
JUMP!
I couldn't jump over it. But look at that height!
BESTFWIENDS!

Here's to This and That
Freshmen Year of College.
That's gotta be something epic, right? I'd like to think so.
I am not quite sure how I am going to break this down. I guess we'll or I'll just have to play it by ear (is that the saying?). PICTURES! I photographed a good portion of this year, and I guess I'll provide commentary where it is needed. This will be in as chronological order as possible.
Welcome to Santa Cruz! Where you can see the pinklady, who is actually a man, walking slowly up and down downtown Santa Cruz. I remember at the beginning of the year, every time friends and I went downtown we would see the pinklady. But not so much recently, actually not at all lately. Anyways, Welcome to Santa Cruz, my second home.
Here's to F.A. adventures: I love love love good Japanese food. I wanted to find a good Japanese/Sushi restaurant in Santa Cruz... I definetly did NOT find it at Benten. They were rude! Yeah, I did just mention in my first post. I am F.A. status.
Here's to new girlfriends at Santa Cruz: (R-L, Tina Z., Gloria L., and Mindy S.) I love them dearly and hope that we will still keep in touch with each other. These three girls were the only girls on my floor. (Floor 2.5 doesn't count for the sake of this conversation.) But it's true, I love them so much. We have so many memories like the many photoshoots we had on random nights and random days.

Here's to Jason Yee: To having the best picture for a while! I am sad we didn't talk as much as we did at the beginning of the year, but I am really glad we can became friends and best of friends. I am really happy for Lisette and you. You guys are hells of cute!
Here's to the addition of one more and a roommate, finally: Cynthia Severn, whom I have known since the early elementary years. From Cowell to Crown, didn't think it could happen, but it did. Even with everything that has happened, I am glad you were my roommate. I hope we are still good friends. Thanks for being my roomie and putting up with all my crazyness and weird behaviors. HAHA
Here's to PC: Two Words - Costco Pies! Another adventure as a F.A.

Here's to Trevor Franklin: I have to say one of my favorite people I met this year. I am not sure if Trevor even knows this, but if he reads this he will. Oh Trevor, I am not even sure where to begin, but all I hope is that we stay close forever and ever! You are always there. I am super happy for Valerie and you, again another cute couple. Hearing about your guys plans for this summer, makes me really happy for you. But thank you for always being there to listen, even after we didn't talk for a while. And for taking out our recycling and helping around where ever possible. Lots of love and take care.
Here's to First Time Clubbing: 'nuff said

Here's to Beaching and Fitting Seven People in a Four-Sitter Car:

Here's to Davis, Visiting BFF, & UCSC Basketball: I went up to Davis a total of three times this school year. Two for the pure reason to visit the boy, I call my best friend. One of the times was just DISASTER, the other time I got written up for a noise complaint because a youtube video was playing too loud. REALLY?! Oh and I saw bands play, that was pretty cool. Thanks Rob! But one time, Tina, Cynthia, Mindy, Gloria and I went to Davis to watch our UCSC basketball play some basketball. Davis kids are just plain rude. RUDE, I tell you. But not Chris' friends. It was nice meeting you - Ally, Chrissy, Mark, Kris, and Rob (yes, even Rob) Thanks for housing me Chris Tung!
Here's to Getting Written Up: First and Last Write Up (hopefully) I believe it was a noise violation, alcohol violation, and a too many people violation. All this equated to an essay.
Here's to being able to Spice Up my Life: I got to see the Spice Girls, and my bestfriend! What more can I ask for. Adriana, tell your dad, thank you for the ride back. But it was magical! Almost to the point of the Fray-magical, but still magical none-the-less. To all the girls who grow up without every being able to spice up their life or know who they are, I am sorry you missed out.
Here's to Going Out on a School Night: Oh how I would have never guessed I would be going out and drinking on a school night. The Lambdas were our first fraternity party. And know I hve two friends that are Lambdas...to Justin and Ethan. Congratulations on making it through pledging.
Here's to Bonfires: Oh my the last time we have a bonfire...we all picked up our stuff and ran. Looking back on it now, we really didn't have to run. Hopefully there will be more bonfires in the future but in a pit and with no open alcohol bottles.

Here's to Southern California: Flew to LA without my parents knowing, and it was a sucess! KJ housed me at UCLA, and Roxy housed me at UCI, Thank you very much. YAY for visiting the Happiest Place on Earth, and only riding two rides. OH! And to Persian Food, which I love. Oh and Pinkberry and meeting Kevin Love.

Here's to Andrew Tran's Birthday: "Haha" Thank you for having us there, Andrew. I hope you got royally shitfaced. Haha, sorry I still can't think about your birthday and not laugh. My bad

Here's to Bert, Ernie, Trevor and Andre: Sorry we killed you guys.We now know that we aren't fish people. R.I.P.
Here's to Clam Chowder Fest: It was cold and rainy, though I am not going to lie, there was some pretty bomb clam chowder! Oh! And I got to wear my Hannah Montana glasses
Here's to Being Bored and NOT Wanting to Study: Haha, so one afternoon, when Cynthia and I were suppose to be studying, we dressed up in ridiculous outfits and created a video (that will never be seen).

Here's to Going Out: (and sometimes getting dressed up for nothing). Crown Formal was a dud. We ended up leaving and going to Oakes. Here's to the Tang Twins' event downtown (and being overdressed).

Here's to... I am Not Even Sure how to Describe it: Maybe...This should be called... "Here's to Jeff Santiago:" The night I saw Melissa Tung... getting off of a counter top from doing a body shot! I guess you could say this is the start of craziness, whoops, and just everything that was cuhrazy. To meeting new people and just having fun. Here's to one of the nights that started it all. I guess a thank you is in order to Jeff Santiago.
Here's to Kickbacks at the "Playboy Mansion": HAHA, whether it was on Wednesdays or Thursdays, thanks you Jeff, John and Suraj for picking us up, letting us drink with you guys, and then driving us back.

Here's to Kickbacks at the SWANTON House: Thank you to Melissa, Godwin, Eugene, LyNae, Leland, Ryan, Wannita, and Alex for letting us chill at your place. I always had fun!
Here's to 420 in Santa Cruz: I didn't smoke on 4/20! Honestly, I don't really understand the point of 4/20 in Santa Cruz, people smoke whenever they want to. I mean I guess it's kind of cool how everybody comes to one place and lights up, but honestly...WHAEVA!

Here's to My 19th Birthday: And celebrating with friends. F.A. status with $0.31 scoop night at Baskin Robbins. And then drinking AND smoking. Uh-Oh!

Here's to Irene and Stephanie's 19th Birthday aka OOPSIE NIGHT!: First things first, Happy Birthday Weenie! Second, thank you Steven for letting us use your house. Thank you to the girls for the cake, we had a lot of fun with that. But here's to another fun night, but in honor of us.
Here's to Drinking During the Day: I never thought I would drink during the day, but I guess Theta Chi changed that. But then I ended up just DD-ing for the rest of day, which wasn't so bad. But here's to the Theta Chi Luau.

Here's to Parties: (Actually these pictures are from the same weekend). Mike Hicks', High St., Bonny Doon, Colin's 21st Birthday, Cali House, Godwin's 21st Birthday, and I don't know if there were any more. But you get the idea.

Here's to Kickbacks at the Crown Apartments: Thank you to Jason, Rhandy, Kevin, Christina and Anne for always having us over. I hope there wasn't ever too much of a mess to clean up.

Here's to Kanye, Rihanna, N.E.R.D., and Lupe: Thanks for a great concert. I am sorry N.E.R.D and Lupe, I didn't know many of your songs. Two concerts in one school year, not bad. And none of them were the JoBros.

Here's to F.A. Adventures: (There should be a picture of MickyDee's too) I love food, maybe a little too much. But here's to late night trips to Taco Bell. To Totoro for being my sushi place in Santa Cruz. How I have spent a good amount of money at your place and still have yet to take a poloroid picture. To Woodstock's, though we found out about you late in the year, you still make it. You always satisfied our After-Library munchies. To MickyDee's, I hate your dollar menu, your sweet tea, and your iced coffee. One time, Irene and I, after class went to MickeyDee's to get Sweet Tea. If that's not F.A., I am nout sure what is.
Here's to Ethan Tsui: I remember I knew you as the boy who always visited Mindy and Gloria on a scooter. But since then we have become good friends, or at least that's what I hope. How you use to just to Mindy, Gloria, Cynthia and ours room and just sleep and use our computers. And then it disappeared...because you decided to pledge for the Lambdas. BOOO! JK! I mean at first, it was boo, but if it makes you happy then I am happy for you. Congratulations on making it through pledging. Thank you for all the music and all the stuff from the bookstore. Oh and all the help with my computer even though you didn't have a Mac. Hopefully Lambdas won't take up too much of your life in the years to come that I see you around.
Here's to Andre: To the guy who lived right below me, and stole my roommate for a good portion of the year, I am glad we became as good of friends as we did this year. I'll admit we have had our differences, but we've both gotten past them, and I think that says something about our friendship - we will argue, but will get over them and still be friends. I am glad we became even better friends when things we'rent going so well for both of us. I am also glad that we can tell each other things, even those kinds of stories. I am sure we will still be friends come next year and the years to come. You know who you have to visit when you come up to Northern California? ME!
Here's to the Boys: Thank's for always providing some fun times. Thanks for saying being socially awkward to us in the dining hall at first, and then finally warming up to us. I am sure we will have fun times ahead of us. I am expecting some pretty crazy kickbacks/parties from your house next year. As well as my bounce house for my birthday =D I hope you guys have a good summer.
Here's to Ge-Off: I swear that's how I was introduced to you, and that's how I am going to call you from hear on out. Thanks for always bonding with, drunk or sober. I am really glad that I got to know you even though I guess it took a while. I always just associated you with your boys, but now that we have become "besties," you are your own person. HAHA JK (about the hating at first). I am sure I will see you this summer, so I am not even trippin'. And I am also positive that we will hang out with each other next year too. It's a shame that we started watching The Office with only two episodes left in the season. But we will for sure watch together next year. You just have to come over to our house because more of us watch it at our house than your house. Hopefully we (SMIJ) get our house and we do end up only 1.3 miles away from each other. And I am sure you are more than welcome to stop by our house whenever you want. Though I don't think the West/Core runs to our house. HAHAHA And we will for shure have more camera-whoring-party nights. Don't EVEN worry. Oh! And, don't worry Irene and I will one day come through with those pictures...our bad. See you Soon!
Here's to Benjamin Gubatina: Oh Ben, how for a good portion of the year, I tried to deny our friendship. HAHA, sorry. No, you're a good guy Ben. Maybe sometimes too nice of a guy. I really hope everything works out with you. But thank you for always being a friend. Thank you for always taking me out to eat...introducing me to restaurants like Totoro, Aqua Bleu, Buffalo Bells, and Pink Godzilla. Oh and August Moon Sushi Cafe. Thanks for MickyDee's run, Safeway runs, and most importantly Costco runs.
Here's to Joann Chang: I am so glad that I met you, but sad that I didn't meet you earlier. We have become such good friends that I can't imagine ever not being friends with you. You always provide such good advice and for that I am thankful for you. And for the library! I have feeling it was you that introduced us to the library, and so for that my grades and I thank you. Though we necessarily didn't always study. Joann, I am so proud of you and really respect you for your strongness after everything that happened. Oh! And thank you thank you thank you for always being down to party or at least go out. We got two grandmas with us - Irene and Melissa. I am expecting next year, Wild Child for the win! Again, like Geoff, I am not trippin' because I am sure we will hang out in the summer, and then we will live together next year which I am super excited for. I love you very much!
Here's to Melissa Tung: Why didn't we hang out earlier? I don't know, but maybe that's a good thing. I think I would have a lot more WHOOPSIES. Haha JK! Who knew that we would become so close? I didn't. Oh that night that I saw, "she's my best friend's sister!" WHATEVER, I am super duper happy that we are as close as we are. Thank you for being like my mom sometimes and looking out for me, and thank you for being like a sister to me (sometimes) and telling me to get it. Thank you for always having to drive, I wish I knew how to drive stick or had a car to drive. Thank you for always being there and being real with me. I have so many memories just from spring quarter that I could mention but I don't think other peole need to hear it. I hate you for playing that game that one night - you're a bitch. But I love you the none-the-less. To me, you're like the older sister I never had. I am sure I'll see you this summer either in Santa Cruz or at your house in Fremont. Lots of love!

Here's to Irene Soo: THIS BITCH, I love her so much. BFF in Santa Cruz. I couldn't imagine going to school at UCSC without her. I am not exactly sure how I managed before she moved. It's weird though, I knew her before school because we had gone to SAT classes together, but we didn't really hang out with each other. In a way, I am sort of glad that "that" happened, because from it we became really close. I am not going to say much about this girl, because if you know much about me, you know that I love this girl very much. I am pretty much stuck with this girl for like the rest of school, but I am glad. I wouldn't have it any other way. Here's to the years to come and craziness that'll go down.
Here's to Next Year!
Hoping that we get the house. And here's to you... hoping that you get an invite to our house. JK! I am sure you will -_-
That's gotta be something epic, right? I'd like to think so.
